On April 24, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, launched the Greenhouse Complex of Gulnur Limited Liability Company in the city of Nurek, the press service of the head of state reported.
The greenhouse complex is located on 10 hectares of fallow land, 6 hectares of which are designated for the construction of modern greenhouses. Three hectares have been fully developed and commissioned to date: one hectare is used for growing roses, and two hectares are used for various seasonal flowers, using modern agricultural techniques.
The greenhouses are equipped with modern agricultural equipment, which operates using an automated digital system. The system regulates temperature, humidity, and other growing environment parameters, creating conditions for efficient plant growth and increased yields.
The head of state was informed that more than 1 million 800 thousand roses of various varieties, as well as over 3 million seasonal flowers, have been grown in the greenhouse complex using modern methods.
The complex is planted with various types of trees, including Turkish plum, pine, linden, weeping willow, chestnut, blue spruce, and ornamental pear, and the surrounding area is landscaped in accordance with modern urban planning requirements.
The greenhouse complex provides permanent employment to 60 local residents, 42 of whom are women. During the flower-picking and preparation season, an additional 40 people are hired for temporary work.
Improvement and construction work on the greenhouse complex's grounds continues, with more than 700 meters of internal roads already paved.
At the same time, auxiliary buildings were modernized, and in the future, construction of a canteen, changing rooms, and the creation of comfortable conditions for workers to rest is planned.
During his tour of the greenhouse complex, Emomali Rahmon praised the quality of the work performed and the efficient organization of the production process, instructing those responsible to expand operations by effectively utilizing existing capabilities and, in addition to satisfying domestic demand, to establish exports of products.
Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the creation of such modern greenhouse complexes in the city of Nurek is a clear example of the implementation of state policy to support entrepreneurship and agricultural development, contributing to food security, the development of the local economy, and an improvement in the population's standard of living.
