On April 23, a virtual meeting was held between the Friendship and Interparliamentary Cooperation Group of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Germany-Central Asia Friendship and Parliamentary Cooperation Group. This was reported by the Majlisi Namoyandagon.

The head of the Tajik group, Chairman of the Committee on Energy, Industry, Construction and Communications, Mahmadullo Sheralizoda, noted that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federal Republic of Germany were established on February 28, 1992, and have been steadily developing since then.
According to him, bilateral relations are being developed through meetings of heads of state in the "Central Asia – Federal Republic of Germany" format, annual intergovernmental negotiations and consultations, interdepartmental political consultations between foreign ministries, mutual visits by politicians, representatives of parliaments, defense ministries, and law enforcement agencies, as well as business forums and the development of ties between scientific and educational institutions.
It is noted that the legal framework plays a vital role in developing cooperation. Currently, 42 bilateral documents have been signed between Tajikistan and Germany, including 31 intergovernmental agreements, 10 interdepartmental agreements, and one joint statement.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon emphasized that, in modern conditions, interparliamentary relations between the two countries are increasingly developing.
