A discussion on further cooperation with the European Union was held in Tajikistan as part of a project to support reforms in public finance management and develop professional skills for employment, NIAT Khovar reported, citing the Majlisi Namoyandagon.
The meeting was held with the participation of members of the Committee on Economy and Finance of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the representative of the European Union in the Republic, Mauro Napodano.
During the meeting, the importance of Tajikistan's cooperation with the European Union in promoting institutional reforms, improving public financial management, increasing the transparency and accountability of the budget process, and strengthening the foundations of sustainable economic development was noted.
The parties discussed the implementation of medium-term budget planning, program-based budgeting, improving the efficiency of public funds, and developing digital infrastructure for public finance management.
The project's importance for developing human capital, improving the vocational education system, raising the level of specialist training, and adapting work skills to the demands of the modern labor market was also emphasized.
It is noted that the implementation of such initiatives contributes to strengthening parliamentary control, improving the quality of budgetary oversight, and ensuring the targeted and efficient use of public resources.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and confirmed their readiness to continue it, as well as to expand interaction in areas of mutual interest.
