The third meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the Central Asian states will take place in Dushanbe from April 23 to 25, reports NIAT Khovar.
It is noted that the previous, second meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the countries of the region took place on April 18, 2025, in Samarkand.
During that meeting, participants noted with satisfaction the results of the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan—Emomali Rahmon, Sadyr Japarov, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev—which took place on March 31, 2025, in Khujand.
During that meeting, an agreement was signed between the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the junction of the state borders of the three countries, as well as the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship.
Following the second meeting, it was decided to hold a third meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the Central Asian states in 2026 in Dushanbe.
