The third international forum "Sughd – Crossroads of the Great Silk Road" will be held on April 16-17 in the Sughd region, reports NIAT "Khovar".
The forum is held with the aim of developing the tourism industry, attracting more tourists, and presenting the region's tourism and historical potential.
It is noted that the natural attractions of the Sughd region, especially its lakes and high mountain valleys, create favorable conditions for nature lovers, allowing them to comfortably spend time in these places.
These include Iskanderkul, the Yagnob and Fann Mountains, and the mountainous regions of the Ayni District, which offer opportunities for camping, mountaineering, and ecotourism.
It is emphasized that construction of dozens of tourist infrastructure facilities continues in the region, which will be commissioned in time for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
This is expected to contribute to the creation of new jobs, improved infrastructure and the implementation of the Tourism Development Strategy until 2030.
The Sughd region, with its ancient history, beautiful nature and rich folk traditions, is considered a promising tourist region.
The growing interest of tourists, as well as domestic and foreign investors, in the development of tourism in the region is seen as evidence of its high potential.
It is noted that with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the active participation of the population, the Sughd region can become one of the leading tourist centers in the region.
