A court in Kyrgyzstan has sentenced a Kazakh citizen in a human trafficking case. The woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison, according to the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by Tengrinews.kz.
According to investigators, a criminal case against a Kazakh citizen and her accomplice, a Kyrgyz citizen, was opened in 2024. It was established that they organized a channel for the illegal transfer of minors outside the country.
The investigation established that a Kazakh citizen entered into a criminal conspiracy with an Israeli citizen and, in exchange for monetary and other property compensation, acquired three minor children from a Kyrgyz citizen.
According to the case materials, illegal acts were committed against children, accompanied by immoral and religious rituals, followed by photographing and sending the materials via instant messaging apps to third parties located outside of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the group members received permission to gain full guardianship over two minor children of a Kyrgyz citizen, who were subjected to similar acts.
The collected materials were sent to the Pervomaisky District Court in Bishkek. On March 12, 2026, the court found the defendants guilty. The Kazakh citizen was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and the Kyrgyz citizen to 11 years in prison with confiscation of property.
It was previously reported that a 23-year-old woman from the Turkestan region attempted to sell her newborn child for 800,000 tenge. According to police, she had been looking for buyers since she was pregnant and was detained while handing over the money.
