Tajikistan presented its achievements in biodiversity conservation at the Global Workshop in Thailand

Representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan took part in the Global Training and Closing Workshop, which was held in Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand) as part of the project "Accelerating Change on Gender Equality and Biodiversity Conservation through National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs)".

According to the Committee on Environmental Protection, the event brought together representatives from various countries, international experts, and development partners (NBP). The main goal of the seminar was to share experiences, summarize project implementation, and discuss further strengthening the integration of gender equality issues into national biodiversity conservation strategies and action plans.

During the meeting, participants discussed gender governance in biodiversity conservation, funding mechanisms for environmental initiatives, preparations for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), and ways to implement the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Delegations presented the results of their work, exchanged experiences, and discussed prospects for further international cooperation.

The delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan presented the country's achievements in this area. Specifically, they presented the developed "Roadmap for the Implementation of the Global Action Plan on Gender Equality," the creation of the National Digital Monitoring Platform, the informational and educational events held, and the First National Conference on Gender Equality and Biodiversity.

One of the practical components of the program included a trip to a forested region of Thailand, where participants learned about sustainable forest management, ecosystem restoration, and the involvement of local communities in biodiversity conservation. According to the organizers, this visit allowed the participants to exchange experiences with representatives of other countries and study successful international environmental practices.

The aim of the seminar was to strengthen international cooperation, expand knowledge exchange, and present Tajikistan's experience in integrating gender equality and biodiversity conservation.
