On March 26, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on a state visit. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
At the Tashkent-Khumo International Airport, the distinguished guest, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, was greeted with special honor and warmth by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.



In honor of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the airport grounds were festively decorated. The national flags of both countries were raised, and banners and slogans dedicated to the friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were displayed.






Emomali Rahmon's state visit will take place from March 26–27 in Tashkent and Bukhara. Scheduled for the visit are high-level meetings and talks, the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, the signing of a significant number of new cooperation documents, an interregional business forum, and a number of cultural events, including a Friendship Evening and Days of Tajik Culture in Uzbekistan.
On the same day, as part of a state visit, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, laid a wreath at the Independence and Humanism monument as a sign of respect for the history and culture of the Uzbek people.






The President of the Republic of Tajikistan was accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov at the wreath-laying ceremony.
