The international festival "Navruz – Cultural and Tourist Heritage" was held in Dushanbe.

On March 22, the international festival "Navruz: Cultural and Tourist Heritage" took place in a festive and festive atmosphere at the Iram Park State Institution in Dushanbe. The event was organized at the initiative of the Dushanbe City Executive Authority and the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, international organizations, researchers and experts, representatives of the executive body of state power of the city of Dushanbe and its districts, as well as cities and districts of republican subordination, representatives of the tourism industry, folk artisans, representatives of the media, as well as foreign guests and bloggers.

The festival was organized to promote cultural values, preserve and revive national traditions, and develop the tourism industry. It became a broad platform for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Tajik people.

The event featured exhibition pavilions in cities and regions across the country, showcasing traditional crafts such as wood carving, jewelry, satin and adras weaving, pottery, and other forms of folk art.

Participants and guests also had the opportunity to become familiar with the rituals of Navruz, ancient customs and traditions, national sports games, and traditional clothing from various regions of the country.

One of the key parts of the event was a national cuisine festival, which showcased the best examples of traditional Tajik dishes, including sumanak, pilaf, festive flatbreads, and other national delicacies. This segment helped promote the country's culinary heritage and attract tourists.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by cultural performances featuring renowned artists and creative groups.

It is noted that the festival was held in accordance with the Plan of Events approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated January 2, 2026 No. 952 "On the list of anniversaries, festivals, exhibitions, holidays and cultural and educational events and folk crafts in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026", as well as the Calendar of Events for the International Navruz Holiday in Dushanbe for 2026, approved by the Resolution of the Chairman of Dushanbe dated January 26, 2026 No. 63.
