North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was re-elected as Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK during the first session of the fifteenth Supreme People's Assembly, which opened in Pyongyang. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency, citing North Korean state media.
According to the report, Kim Jong-un was re-elected as Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK on the first day of the first session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly.
It is also noted that during the session, Cho Yong Won, known as one of Kim Jong Un's closest associates, was elected to the post of Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, replacing Choe Ryong Hae in this position.
