On March 19, 2026, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, met with Beata Javorsik, Senior Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of economic and financial cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali noted that the Republic of Tajikistan, under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has achieved significant results in ensuring macroeconomic stability. Specifically, this includes sustainable growth of the gross domestic product, maintaining stable inflation, expanding employment, developing export potential, and other key areas.


A representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development emphasized that, thanks to the consistent implementation of a series of economic reforms, the Republic of Tajikistan has improved its position in international banking sector solvency rankings. According to her, this contributes to strengthening the country's investment attractiveness and attracting foreign investment.
In turn, Beata Jaworsik expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan and confirmed the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's readiness to continue supporting ongoing economic reforms, ensuring the country's sustainable development, and implementing priority investment projects.
