The Republic of Kazakhstan is one of Tajikistan's main trading partners. Trade between the two countries currently amounts to $1.2 billion.
This information was announced on March 13 during a meeting between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, Farkhodshhoh Rahmonalizoda, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tajikistan, Valikhan Turekhanov.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the meeting, the parties emphasized the need to implement the instructions and directives of the two countries' leaders to increase the volume of bilateral trade to $2 billion by 2030.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Farkhodshhoh Rahmonalizoda noted the importance of intensifying the activities of the Tajikistan-Kazakhstan Business Council. He also announced Tajikistan's readiness to host the fourth meeting of the Business Council. It was noted that the council meeting is planned for Dushanbe this year.
In addition, representatives of Kazakhstan's business community were invited to participate in the International Exhibition of Health and Beauty Products and Services, which will be held in April 2026 in Dushanbe.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation and expand economic and trade ties.
