On March 11, 2026, as part of the Interdepartmental Commission on Combating Human Trafficking's continuing working visit to cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Commission Chairman Alamshozoda A.A. held a working meeting in the Vanj District Executive Authority's conference room. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the executive body of the Davlatzoda district, Najmiddin Saifiddin; the head of the GBAO Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of Police Shafizoda Rustam; the chairman and deputies of the territorial commission for combating human trafficking; heads and deputies of the district law enforcement agencies and security forces; representatives of civil society; youth; and religious leaders.



During the meeting, Alamshozoda A.A. informed participants about the existing threats and risks of crimes related to human trafficking, the protection of the rights of victims of human trafficking and the provision of assistance to them, as well as the role of civil society representatives in countering this negative phenomenon.
In his speech, the commission chairman also noted new forms of crime, including the illegal transplantation of human organs and tissues, as well as the use of people as experimental subjects.
Along with this, Alamshozoda A.A. touched upon a number of current issues related to the crime situation in GBAO, including the activities of terrorist and extremist movements and organizations, the voluntary return of members of extremist and terrorist organizations to their homeland, religious radicalism, fanaticism, the processes of radicalization of society, the illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, the smuggling of precious stones and narcotics, the illegal religious education of minors, the obstruction of parents and persons replacing them in obtaining compulsory general education, cases of suicide, the illegal seizure of land plots, witchcraft and magic.
In addition, the importance of educating minors and young people in the spirit of national identity and patriotism, ensuring that they receive a quality education, adhere to exemplary discipline and moral standards, and acquire future education and professional skills to serve the state and the nation was emphasized.
In total, about 400 people took part in the event.
