As part of the implementation of the state environmental policy and the State Greening Program, a tree planting event was held in the Shahristan district with the participation of the Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee, Bakhodur Sheralizoda.
It was reported that 500 pine saplings were planted on the Khujand-Chanak highway with the participation of representatives from regional and district authorities, the State Forestry Institution, and volunteers. This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Environmental Protection.

During the working trip, a regional nursery covering an area of 4 hectares was also visited, where 2,000 blue spruce seedlings and 25,000 poplar seedlings are grown.
It is emphasized that high-quality care of planting material contributes to the development of a "green" economy and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
