On March 2, 2026, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda paid a working visit to the Kulob Free Economic Zone to review infrastructure development, the activities of regional entities, investment promotion, and the implementation of priority projects. This was reported by the press service of the Khatlon Region Governor.
The Prime Minister was met by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurakhmonzoda Abdurakhmon Safarali, who presented the conditions created in the zone for domestic and foreign investors.
In particular, a presentation was given on the activities of Tajik-Almos LLC, which manufactures automotive spare parts, including engine filters. A project to establish a plant-based medicinal product manufacturing facility, Rastani Inno LLC, and a pharmaceutical and sanitary products manufacturing facility, Pharm Kulyab LLC, were also presented.


It is noted that 10 domestic and foreign companies are registered as entities in the Kulyab Free Economic Zone. Total investment in the zone to date has amounted to approximately 100 million somoni.
Industrial production in the zone reached almost 1 million somoni, providing permanent jobs for approximately 110 people.


Also, in order to practically implement the creative initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, with the participation of the country's Prime Minister, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, and employees of the administration of the Kulyab Free Economic Zone, coniferous trees were planted on the territory of the zone, giving the area a new aesthetic appeal.
Following the visit, the Prime Minister gave the leadership and staff of the Kulyab Free Economic Zone administration specific instructions to address existing problems, strengthen outreach efforts, promote investment opportunities, and effectively utilize existing potential.
