An international scientific and practical conference, "Shahnameh and Human Civilization," dedicated to the legacy of the great Persian poet Abulqosim Firdawsi, was held in Dushanbe. Scholars, philologists, and literary scholars from Tajikistan, Iran, India, Pakistan, and Egypt participated in the event, according to the CIS Executive Committee press service, citing MIR24.
The conference focused on the philosophical depth and artistic originality of the poem "Shahnameh," Firdawsi's most famous work, as well as its influence on Persian literature and the culture of various countries. The researchers emphasized that the poet's work is an important factor in preserving the historical memory and national identity of the peoples of the East. They believe that the poem "Shahnameh" rightfully occupies a special place in the treasury of world literature.
Hasan Nurmadzoda, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences at the Institute of Tourism at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship, noted that during the period of state independence and the renewed revival of national identity, the President's policies were aimed at reviving and developing cultural heritage. He noted that, at the behest of Emomali Rahmon, the poem "Shahnameh" was published and widely distributed, making it accessible to the entire population of the republic, thereby contributing to the development of spirituality in society.
Conference participants also discussed the linguistic, cultural, and philosophical aspects of studying Persian classics in the context of globalization.
