Continuing his working visit to Khatlon Region, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda inspected the construction progress of the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan in Kulob. The building consists of seven units, five of which have completed the installation of reinforced concrete structures.
Responsible persons have been instructed to ensure that construction work is carried out with high quality and within the established timeframe.
After visiting Kulyabtachkhizot Open Joint-Stock Company, as well as Vahdat Textile and Resandayi Kulob Limited Liability Companies, which recently suspended operations, the Prime Minister set specific tasks for their management and relevant organizations to address existing shortcomings and ensure further development. Instructions were given to improve the quality of manufactured products and more fully utilize existing production capacities.



It was noted that Kulob entrepreneurs are currently making a significant contribution to the development of the ancient city. The Prime Minister also inspected the construction of a poultry feed production facility being built by Kholmukhammad Odinayev with a total investment of 3.5 million somoni. The facility will have a production capacity of 20 tons per day and will create 15 jobs.
Then, in the village of Korez in the Ziraki jamoat, Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda got acquainted with the implementation of the water supply project and the construction of a water supply system for the city of Kulyab.
He also visited a section of riverbank protection work on the Yakhsu River. It was noted that of the total 45.3 kilometers of the Yakhsu River, which flows through the village of Khonaobod in the Dakhana Jamoat, 25.3 kilometers are considered potentially hazardous sections, posing a threat to the residents of the town and the Dakhana, Ziraki, and Zarbdor jamoats.
In order to prevent natural disasters in 2024–2025, reinforced concrete slabs were laid along the Yakhsu River over a length of 3,200 meters, and work in this direction continues.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan also visited the Kulyab Free Economic Zone. Currently, 10 enterprises operate on its territory, including the limited liability companies Tojik Almos, Kulob Agrosanoat, Kulob Plast, Rastani Inno, Somon Trade, Sanoat Sino, Tojik Agro Bio Feed, Toch China Bainalmilal, Zafar Textile and Farm Kulob.



Construction work continues at the Kulob Agrosanoat enterprise, designed for the production of vegetable oil, refined sugar, and the processing and packaging of table salt.
In order to timely implement the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Government of the country to develop the region's infrastructure, the development of the project "Feasibility Study for the Creation of a Logistics Center and Preliminary Feasibility Study for the Construction of a Railway Line to the Kulyab Free Economic Zone" is ongoing in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, the State Unitary Enterprise "Tajik Railways" and partners from the Republic of Korea.
To date, the Government of the Republic of Korea has attracted approximately 7 million somoni in non-repayable assistance to complete the project work.
Since the start of its operations, the Kulyab Free Economic Zone has attracted investments totaling 99 million somoni, taking into account all sources of financing.
