The press center for the year's main political event, the "Two Sessions," has officially opened in Beijing. The Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress and the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference will open in the Chinese capital on March 5 and 4, respectively. According to the press center, located in the Media Center Hotel, more than 3,000 journalists have been accredited to cover the "Two Sessions" this year. A significant portion of the pool consists of correspondents from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as representatives of foreign media—over a thousand in total. A series of press conferences featuring high-ranking government officials is planned at the press center. During these meetings, officials are expected to answer key questions regarding state policy and the country's main socioeconomic development directions for the coming year.
