The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan reports plans to establish a logistics center in the Kulyab Free Economic Zone.
The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrokhim, held a meeting with Ok Dong Yu, a representative of Samil PwC of the Republic of Korea and the project manager for the feasibility study for the creation of a logistics center in the Kulyab Free Economic Zone.
The Minister noted that the feasibility study for the creation of a logistics center, including the introductory project (Basic Design), is one of the important projects and can contribute to the development of the logistics system and logistics potential of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The project's location near the Dushanbe-Kulyab-Khorog-Kulma international highway will allow the logistics center to serve as a regional logistics hub and ensure the delivery of goods along the multimodal corridor China-Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkey-Europe.
It is emphasized that the construction and reconstruction of roads, railways, tunnels, bridges, and other necessary infrastructure are aimed at transforming Tajikistan into an attractive transit country in the region. However, without modern logistics centers and the corresponding infrastructure, this goal will be difficult to achieve. Therefore, the design and construction of logistics centers in the country is considered a necessary measure and a requirement of the times.
