Settlements between Tajikistan's Amonatbank and Russian banks are conducted entirely in rubles, the bank's deputy chairman, Firdavs Rizvonzoda, announced at a press conference.
"Our bank's settlements with Russian banks for client transactions carried out within the framework of permitted economic and entrepreneurial activities are conducted entirely in rubles in compliance with the requirements of current international and national legislation," the deputy chairman stated.
He noted that Amonatbank cooperates with banks in the CIS countries, as well as with financial institutions in China, Turkey, and other countries.
Amonatbank also actively supports domestic businesses through international loans, strengthening its partnerships with foreign financial institutions. According to the bank, loans totaling $50.5 million and CNY 5.8 million have been issued to 56 domestic companies.
Financing is also provided through credit lines from the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan's KazakhExport JSC, and the China Development Bank.
Amonatbank is one of Tajikistan's systemically important banks. It has 75 branches and 547 service centers across the country, serving over 8,500 organizations. Nearly 2 million citizens use the bank's cards. The bank also has established partnerships with 19 foreign banks and over 60 correspondent accounts.
