With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the National Medical Center of Tajikistan "Shifobakhsh" has commissioned unique equipment for extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
The new equipment is designed for the treatment of kidney and urinary tract stones. Its use allows for non-invasive diagnosis and treatment without surgery, lengthy hospitalization, and incisions.

According to the medical center's specialists, previously, the diagnosis and treatment of kidney and urinary tract stones was carried out using traditional surgical methods, which involved surgical intervention with an incision in the patient's body.
As a result of this treatment, patients were hospitalized for 6-7 days to restore their health.

With the introduction of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy equipment, the center now has the ability to conduct diagnostics and treatment in such a way that patients can be discharged home within 24 hours of completion of the procedure.
