Sughd Region Governor Rajab Akhmadzoda inspected construction work at the Adrasmon Combine in the Adrasmon village of Guliston, according to the regional administration's press service.
It was noted that this industrial facility had been inactive since 2013. In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and in order to implement the country's accelerated industrialization program, the plant is resuming operations.
During the project presentation, it was emphasized that modern mining equipment imported from the People's Republic of China, some of the best in the industry, has already been installed. The current construction phase of the facility involves 369 people, with domestic and international specialists performing the main construction work.

Once the plant is operational, more than 500 people will receive permanent employment with competitive wages. The facility is scheduled to be operational in time for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence.
It was noted that after the launch of the "Adrasmon Metallurgical Plant," raw materials will be processed entirely on-site into finished products. The final processing of non-ferrous metals will enable the production of competitive products that meet international standards.
During the visit, the regional governor also met with the plant's management. At the meeting, it was emphasized that, with the ongoing support of the government and the Leader of the Nation, favorable conditions have been created for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and investors. Existing economic opportunities, particularly in the Sughd region, allow for the construction of modern enterprises and the increase in domestic production for export.

It was noted that a number of large mining enterprises are already operating in the cities and districts of Guliston, Ayni, Bobojon Gafurov, and Penjikent, making a significant contribution to the national economy. The Adrasmon Mining and Metallurgical Plant, following modernization and the installation of modern equipment, will resume operations with the direct support of Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.
The investors expressed gratitude to the Government of Tajikistan for creating favorable conditions and reported full mobilization of resources to commission the plant on schedule. The first phase will create 500 jobs, and as production volume increases, the number of employees is planned to increase to 1,000.
During the meeting, issues of participation in the development of the region, including the construction of social facilities and road renovation, were also discussed, and specific instructions were given to responsible officials.
