This was reported to NIAT "Khovar" by the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Tajikistan.
One of the key achievements of the year was the Tajikistan team's performance at the 2025 ACBJJ World Championship, where Tajik athletes demonstrated a high level of preparation and competitiveness on the global stage. The team won 40 medals, including 19 gold, 12 silver, and 9 bronze, making it one of the best results in the country's history at this competition.
The competition brought together the strongest fighters from various countries and proved a serious test of both physical fitness and tactical skill. Despite the high level of their opponents, the Tajik representatives demonstrated confidence, composure, and a high level of fighting in the Gi and No-Gi disciplines, winning the vast majority of their bouts early.

Samir Rizaev, a two-time world champion in both Gi and No-Gi, became the team's leader. Muhammad Boymurodov and Bilol Shodavlatov also excelled, becoming world champions in their respective categories. Abdulaziz Khamidov made a significant contribution to the medal tally, winning gold in Gi and silver in No-Gi. Ashraf Saidalizoda also became a four-time ACBJJ world champion, strengthening Tajikistan's position in global jiu-jitsu.
The tournament's vice-champions included Dovud Dzhonshoev (55 kg), Abubakr Gadoev (60 kg), Sherzod Islamov (55 kg), and Mustafa Ashurzoda (50 kg). Bronze medals were won by Akhmadjon Narimanov (55 kg), Muhammad Akbarov (45 kg), and Alisher Buidokov, who won a World Championship medal in both Gi and No-Gi.
Following the tournament, Tajikistan national team coach Komil Boymurodov emphasized that the achieved result confirms that the Tajik jiu-jitsu school is among the most competitive in the world. He noted the team-based nature of the success and the athletes' high discipline, and emphasized the importance of systematic training and participation in international competitions.
On December 17, 2025, an extraordinary general meeting of the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe. At this meeting, Manuchehr Karimzoda was elected Chairman of the Federation.
The meeting participants expressed confidence that with the election of the Federation's new leader, support for athletes will continue to strengthen, and that the country's representatives will be able to achieve significant results in international competitions.
