The Council on Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the Regional Consultation on the World Development Report 2026, entitled "Artificial Intelligence for Development," which took place on December 17–18, 2025, in Tokyo. The event was organized by the World Bank Group and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), according to the press service of the Council on Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A Council delegation consisting of Masrur Nazari, Firuzjon Sodiqov, and Gulsum Kosumbekova participated in the consultation. The delegation's representatives participated in global discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence on economic growth, governance, and public service delivery.
During the event, the delegation presented Tajikistan's priorities in the field of artificial intelligence development, showcased early successful cases in education and innovation, and held meetings with leading experts from Asian countries.
It is noted that participation in the regional consultation highlights the growing role of the Republic of Tajikistan in shaping global policy in the field of artificial intelligence and confirms the country's commitment to using AI technologies for inclusive and sustainable development.
