Police have uncovered thefts in the Shugnan and Shokhmansur districts of the capital, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
A 57-year-old local resident contacted the Shugnansky District Department of Internal Affairs with a statement that on November 24, unknown individuals secretly entered his apartment, stole 25,000 somoni, and fled the scene.
During the course of operational investigative activities, police officers established that the crime was committed by a 14-year-old local resident. An 18-year-old Dushanbe resident also contacted the Shohmansur District Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 in Dushanbe, reporting that on the night of November 23, 2025, an unknown individual secretly entered his apartment, stole a Samsung Galaxy A6 mobile phone, 5,000 somoni, and fled the scene. Damages totaled 6,200 somoni.
As a result of operational-search activities, police officers established that the crime was committed by a 24-year-old resident of the Tajikabad district, previously convicted under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. An investigation is underway into these facts.
