On the sidelines of the 21st session of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), a meeting was held between the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, and UNIDO Director General, Gerd Müller. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and UNIDO in various areas. Particular attention was paid to the development of light industry, the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, mineral processing, and improving the efficiency of production processes.
The parties expressed their mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral ties and emphasized the importance of joint projects for Tajikistan's sustainable industrial development. They noted that Tajikistan places particular emphasis on developing its industrial sector and views expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with UNIDO as a state policy priority.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants confirmed their willingness to continue exchanging experiences and practical developments in industrial development, which will create additional opportunities for the introduction of modern technologies and innovations into Tajikistan's economy.
