On November 15, 2025, a round table was held at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Tajikistan dedicated to the results of the 4th Plenum of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and its impact on the further development of Chinese-Tajik cooperation.
The event brought together representatives of Tajikistan's political parties and the diplomatic corps. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun; Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Giyozoda Aziz; Deputy Chairman of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan Abdullozoda Umeda; Chairman of the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan Latifzoda Rustam; Chairman of the Economic Reform Party of Tajikistan Ashurzoda Giyosiddin; Chairman of the Democratic Party of Tajikistan Shahbozi Abror; and Chairman of the Socialist Party of Tajikistan Halimzoda Gulom.
The meeting was held in a warm, constructive, and collaborative atmosphere. Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the further strengthening of cooperation between Tajikistan and China, emphasizing the importance of the outcomes of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee for regional development, economic cooperation, and the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Chinese Ambassador Guo Zhijun emphasized that the Plenum opens new opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation and noted China's readiness to support joint initiatives in various economic sectors, including industry, agriculture, innovation, and digitalization. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries and developing mutually beneficial projects.
Speaking at the event, Tajik party leaders thanked the Chinese side for its consistent support and expressed their readiness to intensify interparty and interparliamentary dialogue. Particular attention was paid to joint projects in industrial cooperation, modernization of production facilities, and development of logistics, as well as the creation of favorable conditions for investment in the processing industry and small and medium-sized businesses.
Rustam Latifzoda, Chairman of the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan, presented proposals for the implementation of Chinese agricultural technologies and the expansion of agricultural clusters. The Chinese side confirmed its interest in creating joint scientific demonstration sites in agriculture and supporting the export of Tajik products to the Chinese market.
Participants discussed prospects for the development of the digital economy, including the implementation of 5G technologies, digital platforms, and electronic government services, as well as cooperation in artificial intelligence, engineering, and cybersecurity. The possibilities of launching new educational programs and expanding student exchanges between the countries were explored.
The parties also discussed holding cultural events, educational forums, and youth exchanges, emphasizing the importance of strengthening friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and China. They discussed joint efforts to ensure regional security, combat extremism and cross-border crime, and coordinate positions within international structures and organizations, including the SCO.
At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed to develop new joint projects in the agricultural and digital sectors, continue coordinating actions on key regional security issues, and draw up a calendar of future meetings and initiatives.
Ambassador Guo Zhijun thanked all participants for their active participation in the event, emphasized China's readiness for further cooperation, and expressed hope for developing relations with Tajikistan in a spirit of brotherhood, mutual respect, and strategic partnership.
Following the official part, participants and guests viewed a photo exhibition showcasing China's achievements in various fields, including industry, technology, agriculture, and infrastructure projects.
The event confirmed the high level of trust between the parties and demonstrated the desire of both countries to further deepen Chinese-Tajik cooperation, intensify interparty and intergovernmental interaction, and implement new joint initiatives in strategically important areas.
