On the night of Friday, November 14, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Civil-Military Administration (KCMA), Timur Tkachenko.
According to the latest reports, the number of casualties in Kyiv has risen to 12. Four of them were hospitalized, including a pregnant woman, and one man is in critical condition.
The attack damaged residential buildings, institutions, and critical infrastructure. In the Dniprovskyi district, apartment buildings were damaged, and fires broke out in two apartments in a five-story residential building. Nine people were evacuated from the building.
In the Darnytskyi district, drone debris fell on the grounds of a residential building and an educational institution, and a car caught fire. In the Podilskyi district, five residential buildings and a non-residential building were damaged, and a fire was reported in a multi-story building. In the Desnyanskyi district, fires broke out in two residential buildings. In the Solomyanskyi district, a fire engulfed the roof of a five-story residential building. In the Holosiivskyi district, a medical facility and a non-residential building were damaged. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris burned in an open area near a medical facility and an administrative building. In the Svyatoshinskyi district, a private home was damaged.
Due to damage to heating networks in the Desnyansky district, some buildings are temporarily without heat. Moscow's utility services are working on-site, quickly repairing the damage.
Villages in the Kyiv region were also affected. In Bila Tserkva, a 55-year-old man suffered thermal burns and was hospitalized. Fires broke out in private homes in the Bucha, Vyshgorod, and Fastiv districts. Warehouses caught fire in the Belotserkivskyi district, and a car caught fire in the Obukhiv district.
According to the Kyiv mayor, power and water supply disruptions are possible. City emergency services continue to work at all affected facilities.
Head of the Kyiv City Defense Army, Timur Tkachenko, noted that Russian troops are striking residential buildings in virtually every district of the capital. Citizens are advised to take shelter and not interfere with air defense systems.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his intention to increase resources in the Zaporizhzhia region due to the military situation.
