Four new monographs prepared by Tajik and Chinese researchers were presented on November 13 at the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the NAST press service reported.
President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda, noted that these publications are important for the development of science in Tajikistan and the countries of Central Asia, and also contribute to achieving the goals of the International Year of Glacier Conservation.
"The monographs cover a wide range of fields—from the natural and engineering sciences to the social and humanities. They address issues of sustainable socioeconomic development, the analysis of exogeodynamic risks, the problems and prospects of water resources, and research on Tajikistan's glaciers. These works reflect the high level of scientific collaboration between Tajikistan and China," Khushvakhtzoda emphasized.
Yuanming Zhang, Director of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, noted that the Central Asian Research Center for Ecology and Environment in Dushanbe plays a key role in strengthening scientific and technical cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and China.
