Power will be temporarily suspended in several districts of Dushanbe today, October 23, due to scheduled maintenance and repairs, according to the State Unitary Enterprise "Gorelektroseti Dushanbe".
The department noted that the outages will last from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will affect certain streets in three administrative districts of the capital.
In the Firdavsi district, the mahallas of Darebod-1, Darebod-2, Kahramon, S. Sherozi, as well as A. Kahhorov Street, will be temporarily without electricity.
In the Shokhmansur district, power will be turned off on the streets of Ayni, Gastello, Matrosov, Ulugbek, A. Savdo, Titov, Khuseinzoda, Istaravshan, Akademik Radzhabov, and in the Sokhibkoron mahalla.
In the Sino district, power supply will be temporarily cut off on the streets of Gijdalabod, Juibod, Balkh, Chaliboi, A. Navoi, Mekhrobod, Navobod and Kalinin.
Gorelektroset explained that the temporary power outage was caused by scheduled maintenance work aimed at improving the reliability of power supply to consumers, as well as clearing and pruning tree branches that pose a threat to power lines.
"The measures are being taken to prevent potential emergency situations and ensure uninterrupted power supply during the autumn and winter," the company noted.
The department added that, depending on the scope and pace of repair work, power supply may be restored earlier than the established time.
