On October 11, during a working visit to the Dangara district, Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said visited the Juntai-Dangara-Sinsilu cotton processing enterprise, participated in a ceremony to recognize the farms, and presented them with gifts, according to the press service of the Khatlon Region Chairman.
It is noted that the stable operation of such enterprises is of great importance for increasing the added value of domestic products, as well as for creating new jobs and developing agriculture in the region.
Cotton growers in the Dangara district have fully fulfilled their cotton harvest plan and have collected 10,700 tons of “white gold” to date.
During a meeting with farmers and jamoat chairmen, regional chairman Davlatali Said emphasized the need for efficient use of every plot of land, timely irrigation, and expansion of cultivated areas. He also noted that rewarding cotton growers is an important factor in the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and improving the quality of their produce.
Cotton growers and farm managers expressed confidence that, with the support of the state and government, they will continue their efforts to increase cotton production and improve its quality in the coming season.
According to the 2025 plan, 19 cities and districts of Khatlon region are expected to harvest 254,300 tons of cotton. To date, 202,592.2 tons have been harvested, representing 80 percent of the annual plan.
Of all the cities and districts in the region, five—Levakand, Bokhtar, Dust, Yovon, and Dangara—fully fulfilled their cotton harvest plan, demonstrating the high efficiency of cotton growers and the successful completion of the agricultural season's objectives.
