On October 10, a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held at the Palace of the Nation under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, the press service of the head of state reported.
At the meeting venue, the head of our state, Emomali Rahmon, warmly welcomed the high-ranking guests one by one.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev arrived at the Palace of Nations to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Following the arrival of the meeting participants, a joint photographic ceremony was held for the heads of state.
Then, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States began.
Emomali Rahmon warmly welcomed the heads of state and members of delegations who arrived in Tajikistan.
Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized that Tajikistan, during its year as Chairman of the Commonwealth, continued its comprehensive work to effectively implement its stated goals in close cooperation with participating states and the Executive Committee.
The leader of the nation noted that Tajikistan's activities as the country chairing the Commonwealth were aimed at achieving practical results in developing cooperation within the Commonwealth.
