In September 2025, a working meeting was held in the meeting room of the executive body of the local government of the city of Panjakent, at the initiative of the regional department of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Zerafshan Valley. The meeting was attended by the city mayor, the prosecutor, members of the conscription commissions, military commissariat employees, and other officials, the agency's press center reported.
The meeting was held as part of the implementation of the Action Plan for Propaganda and Agitation Aimed at Preventing Corruption in the Military Conscription Process. Agency staff presented reports in which they discussed in detail Tajikistan's anti-corruption legislation and state programs, the identification and investigation of corruption offenses, liability for their commission, and measures to prevent corruption risks during the conscription of citizens into the country's Armed Forces.
The purpose of the event was to increase the legal anti-corruption awareness of members of conscription commissions and to develop an intolerant attitude towards corruption in the military service system.
It was noted that the meeting was held in a constructive and anti-corruption atmosphere, and the results of the event will contribute to reducing corruption and increasing the legal literacy of those involved in the conscription process.
