An international conference commemorating the 570th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding miniature artist Kamoliddin Behzod will be held in the capital of Tajikistan on November 26. The event was organized at the initiative of the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan.
The conference will be titled "Cross-Cultural Influences in the Art of Miniature and in the Patterns of Kamoliddin Behzod." It will discuss key topics related to artistic methods and symbolism in miniature painting, as well as the influence of Behzod's work on the development of artistic schools in Iran and India.
Particular attention will be paid to the role of miniatures in conveying the historical significance of the artist's work in the 21st century, as well as their importance for the preservation of cultural heritage and national identity.
Leading scholars, researchers, art historians, and teachers from Tajikistan and abroad will participate in the conference. Participants will discuss both the historical aspects of Behzod's work and contemporary interpretations of his artistic legacy.
The organizers noted that holding an international conference will help strengthen cultural and educational ties between countries, exchange scientific experience, and promote Tajik fine art internationally.
