An official delegation from the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Deputy Director Firuz Anvarali Kamolzoda, participated in the regular meeting of the Coordination Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Intelligence Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The meeting was held on September 24, 2025, in Yerevan, Armenia, according to the Agency's press center.
Representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee also participated in the event. The meeting summarized the Council's activities for 2025 in strengthening peace, stability, and economic security in member states.
Participants noted that the Council's activities have expanded in recent years and that it plays a key role in ensuring the economic security of CIS countries. Particular attention was paid to combating economic and corruption crimes, including those committed using digital assets, countering the financing of terrorism, and tax offenses committed via the internet and digital payment systems.
During the meeting, experiences were exchanged and methods for identifying and investigating such crimes were discussed, as well as modern financial control technologies were considered.
At the conclusion of the meeting, decisions were made on the agenda and a call was made to further strengthen cooperation between the participating countries to improve the effectiveness of the fight against transnational crime and protect the region's economic security.
