A series of traffic accidents resulting in multiple fatalities occurred in Tajikistan on September 21–22, 2025. According to law enforcement, each accident was caused by drivers failing to comply with traffic rules and losing control of their vehicles.
On September 21, at approximately 5:30 PM in the Dangara District, Emomali Makhmasaidovich Safarov, born in 1993, drove his OPEL-ASTRA onto the shoulder of the road and overturned. He died at the scene.
That same day, at approximately 8:00 PM, in the city of Konibodom, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz S300, Rustam Miralievich Nuraliev, born in 1991, struck a pedestrian, Nigora Zarifzhonovna Sodikova, born in 1996, who was on the side of the road with her one-year-old child, Nurmuhammad Farrukhovich Gafurov, born in 2025. As a result of the accident, both mother and child died instantly.
On September 22, at approximately 11:50 a.m., on the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanok highway, Shukhratjon Ruziboev, born in 1995, driver of an Opel Astra collided with a Mercedes-Benz driven by Yusuf Olimjonovich Tolibov, born in 1982, a resident of the Devashtich district. As a result of the accident, both drivers and passengers—Mukhridin Sultonovich Rakhmonov, born in 1995, and Mekhrob Ibodulloevich Yakubov, born in 1993—died instantly.
That same day, at approximately 2:00 PM, in the Vose district, the driver of a Toyota Camry, Rustamzoda Nadjibullo Davlatsho, born in 1992, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with an Opel Astra driven by Burkhonov Karomatullo Khuzhamurodovich, born in 1998. As a result of the collision, the Opel Astra driver and two passengers—Ibrokhimova Nargis Shernazarovna, born in 1995, and Zabirova Davlatbibi Dovutovna, born in 1971—died at the scene. Four other passengers sustained serious injuries and were taken to a hospital.
Investigations are conducted into each accident, establishing the causes and circumstances. Law enforcement agencies urge drivers to obey speed limits and traffic rules to prevent tragic accidents.
