First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda met with Minister of Labor and Social Security of the Republic of Turkey Vedat Ishihan, the government press service reported.
The parties noted the high level of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Turkey, emphasizing that they are based on shared historical and cultural values.
Kholikzoda expressed Dushanbe's interest in further expanding cooperation with Ankara in the political, economic, social, and cultural spheres, as well as in developing a long-term partnership.
Particular attention was paid to preparing the first meeting of the Tajikistan-Turkey Cooperation Council. According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, the Council will become an effective tool for discussing pressing issues of multifaceted cooperation.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, energy, transport, industry, tourism, as well as education, science, and culture.
