Hussein Bahrom Alizoda, a biology teacher at the Omar Khayyam Lyceum in Sino District, has won the city stage of the national "Teacher of the Year Tajikistan 2025" competition. The Dushanbe City Education Department announced this.
The competition was held on September 12–13 in accordance with the decree of the Mayor of Dushanbe and the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan. The winners of the district rounds participated in the competition: Zarina Azizova (Shohmansur), a primary school teacher at Gymnasium No. 2; Murodali Sayedzoda (I. Somoni), a mathematics teacher at the school under the Dushanbe Education Department; and Gulchekhra Giyosova (Firdavsi), a Russian language teacher at Gymnasium No. 74.
As part of the competition, teachers held open classes, shared their work experiences, prepared lesson self-analyses, and organized parent-teacher meetings and educational hours. To assess the finalists' knowledge, the jury conducted a theoretical test at the Analytical and Information Center of the Moscow Department of Education.
Based on the results of all stages, first place was taken by Khusein Alizoda, second place by Murodali Sayedzoda, third place by Gulchekhra Giyosova, and fourth place by Zarina Azizova.
According to the organizers, the winner of the city tour will be awarded a cash prize and a certificate of honor at a gala event dedicated to Capital Day.
