Two people died as a result of two road accidents in Tajikistan, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported.
On September 11, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, the driver of an Opel Astra, Shoynov Bobokul Safaralievich, born in 1959, a resident of the Vose district, lost control of the vehicle while traveling from the Vose district to Dushanbe in the Guliston rural jamoat. The vehicle overturned into a 20-meter-deep chasm. The driver sustained injuries of varying severity and died while being transported to the hospital.
On September 12, 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, the driver of an Opel Astra, Navruz Ashurzoda, born in 1991, a resident of Vahdat, lost control of his vehicle on the Dushanbe-Vahdat road and struck a pedestrian, 14-year-old Puzdir Alisher Abdukhodirovich, a local resident. The boy died at the scene.
An investigation is underway into the road accidents. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges drivers to obey traffic rules and exercise caution on the roads.
