Karim Rashid, a World War II veteran and labor veteran, has died in the city of Hisor at the age of 113. The city administration announced this.
Karim Rashid was born in 1912 in Hisor. During the Great Patriotic War, he participated in major battles—he fought in the Battle of Stalingrad, served in the 204th Artillery Regiment of the 1st Ukrainian Front, participated in the liberation of European cities, and reached Prague and Berlin.
After Victory Day in 1945, the veteran returned to his homeland. He devoted many years to teaching, educating the younger generation in the village of Sogdien.
For his courage and dedication during the war, Karim Rashid was awarded state awards. His life became an example of patriotism, hard work, and devotion to his homeland.
The Gissar administration emphasized that the veteran's memory will forever remain in the hearts of the region's residents and the entire country.
