Starting September 1, 2025, the total number of passenger vehicles in the capital of Tajikistan will increase by 20%, according to the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Specifically, with the start of the new school year, the city will have 380 buses, 65 trolleybuses, and 1,100 minibuses. Additionally, the number of passenger taxis will be increased by 500.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that these measures are aimed at improving passenger service and increasing the accessibility of public transportation for residents and visitors to the capital.
In this regard, the Administration calls on citizens and drivers to strictly observe traffic regulations. Particular attention is paid to the prohibition of stopping and picking up passengers in the second and third lanes of the roadway, as well as parking in unauthorized areas. Violating these regulations may lead to congestion and disruption of the city's transportation system.
"The quality of passenger transportation directly depends on the responsibility of each road user," the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
The department emphasized that the increase in the number of transport units is aimed at creating more comfortable conditions for travel around the capital, especially during rush hour and at the beginning of the school year, when the load on public transport increases.
