On the night of August 21, Russia launched another massive drone and missile strike on Ukrainian territory. According to Ukrainian authorities, the attacks affected several regions of the country, with casualties reported.
In the Zakarpattia region, a plant in Mukachevo was hit. According to local authorities, 12 people were injured, ten of whom were hospitalized, and two who sought medical attention. Five patients remain hospitalized, one of whom was transferred to the regional hospital.
A combined drone and cruise missile strike was recorded in Lviv. According to Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, dozens of residential buildings were damaged. Lviv Regional Administration Head Maksym Kozytskyi clarified that one person was killed and two others were injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, strikes hit several districts. Fires broke out in the Yuryev community of the Pavlograd district, injuring one person. In the Nikopol district, residential buildings, outbuildings, a car, a gas pipeline, and power lines were damaged. In the Sinelnyky district, two businesses and a gas pipeline were hit, while in the Dnipro district, a private home and a power line were damaged.
A missile strike hit Zaporizhzhia. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, industrial infrastructure was damaged and windows in residential buildings were blown out. There were no casualties. Three aerial bombs were dropped in the Polohovsky district, injuring an 85-year-old woman who was diagnosed with fractures and a concussion.
