As a result of operational investigative measures, employees of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan established that the Deputy Chairman of the Shakhrinav District for Agriculture, A.Sh. Khamdamzoda, committed a crime during his professional career – accepting a bribe, the Agency's press center reported.
The investigation established that in April 2025, the official heading the commission for regulating the use of pasture lands in the district demanded a bribe of 20,000 somoni from citizen M.B.P. for assistance in allocating 118.85 hectares of pastures in the territory of the rural jamoats of Istiklol and Sabo.
During May 2025, Khamdamzoda A.Sh. received the specified amount in two installments and spent it on personal needs. Following documentation of corruption, a criminal case was opened against the official under Article 319, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan ("Receiving a bribe by an official").
Currently, the case materials have been transferred to the court for consideration on the merits.
