Law enforcement officials in Tajikistan have solved several thefts committed in July and April of this year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported.
A 48-year-old resident of the district filed a report with the Khuroson District Department of Internal Affairs. She reported that on July 29, 2025, unknown individuals broke into her barn and stole four head of small cattle. The damage amounted to approximately 10,000 somoni. During an investigative investigation, police officers determined that the crime was committed by two young local residents.
Additionally, in the city of Khujand, it was established that on April 15, 2025, at 2:30 AM, a 27-year-old resident stole a Samsung A5 mobile phone worth 500 somoni from a 46-year-old local resident. The perpetrator then withdrew 4,384 somoni from his Dushanbe City e-wallet. The total damage caused amounted to 4,834 somoni.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are taking all necessary measures to bring those responsible to justice.
