Tajikistan's Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavqi Zavqizoda, met with the winners of the entrance exams for the Durakhshandagon International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
During the meeting, Zavki Zavkizoda noted that, thanks to the educational policies of President Emomali Rahmon, talented young people are annually provided with opportunities to study at leading foreign universities using funds from the Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Minister emphasized that when selecting applicants, special attention is paid to specializations in the exact and natural sciences, including information and communications technology, artificial intelligence, econometrics, and engineering. This initiative is being implemented within the framework of the Presidential Decree of December 31, 2020, "On the Declaration of the Twenty-Year Anniversary of the Study and Development of the Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences in Science and Education for 2020-2040."
Particular attention was paid to the educational role of the educational program. Zavqizoda emphasized that every student studying abroad should not only receive a high-quality education and demonstrate exemplary discipline, but also represent Tajikistan's national values, culture, and achievements on the international stage.
Students were encouraged to complete their studies with excellent results and, upon returning home, actively contribute to the development of the national economy by applying their acquired knowledge and experience.
