Today, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan A. Gochmyradov met with the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Faizali Idizoda.
The interlocutors discussed the development of interparliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, emphasizing that it is consistently expanding thanks to the creative initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan, the esteemed Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the esteemed Emomali Rahmon, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The parties also noted the successful holding of the UN International Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in the Avaza tourist zone, which has become a significant international platform for discussing pressing development issues. The Turkmen side expressed sincere gratitude for the active and meaningful participation of Tajik parliamentarians in the conference, including the Parliamentary Forum, which served as an important contribution to strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and deepening bilateral ties.
It was emphasized that the development of interparliamentary cooperation allows for the exchange of experience, the development of coordinated positions on current regional and international issues, and the support of each other's constructive initiatives in the international arena.
The parties confirmed their readiness to continue to make active efforts to expand cooperation within the framework of parliamentary mechanisms, including through participation in the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and friendship groups.
