As part of the "Clean District" and "Clean Road" environmental campaigns, approximately nine kilometers of the Isfara-Khujand highway were cleared in Isfara. More than 18 cubic meters of household waste were removed to the city landfill, according to the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan.
The events were organized by the local environmental protection department with the aim of improving and landscaping the territories, maintaining sanitary order, and also conducting preventive measures on the streets, in districts, villages, and jamoats.
Over 260 citizens and volunteers participated in the work. Furthermore, two illegal waste dumps were identified and eliminated during the campaign.
