On August 11, 2025, an informational event on combating human trafficking was held in Penjikent at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, as part of the implementation of the requirements of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan's Resolution "National Plan to Combat Trafficking in Persons for 2025–2027." This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
The informational event was chaired by the Chairman of the Territorial Commission for Combating Human Trafficking and was attended by more than 250 people, including Murod Shukurzoda, Deputy Mayor of Panjakent, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Department of Education of the Sughd Region, the Department of Education of the city of Panjakent, directors and deputy directors of secondary schools in the city of Panjakent for educational work, heads of kindergartens, psychologists, representatives of the public, employees of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sughd Region, and a representative of the OSCE Office in Dushanbe.
The purpose of this event was to increase the level of knowledge of education workers about the concept and prevention of human trafficking.
It was noted that human trafficking is a dangerous factor in society and causes significant damage to the development of the state and nation. Therefore, everyone must contribute to preventing such harmful actions, which are dangerous to society.
Conducting such targeted events is an important tool, first and foremost, among the ruling classes of society, since it is they, in close cooperation with the population, who are able to prevent these undesirable phenomena.
