The Tajik Ministry of Transport's press service reports that 500 electric vehicle charging stations are planned to be installed in the capital of Tajikistan as part of the NERU project.
As of today, 316 charging points are already operational in Dushanbe. The remaining stations are planned to be operational by the end of 2025, reaching the target.
All stations operate using direct current (DC) and have a capacity of 60 and 120 kW. 60 kW stations can simultaneously charge two electric vehicles in approximately 30 minutes, depending on battery specifications. The more powerful 120 kW stations provide a faster charge in 20 minutes.
The project's organizers intend to expand the network of electric charging stations across Tajikistan, including cities and districts such as Khujand, Kulyab, and Dangara.
