Kazakhstanis receiving targeted social assistance will be able to purchase food at the purchase price, Kazinform reports.
In order to implement the Head of State's instruction to transition to targeted social assistance, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is moving to strengthen control over the 15% trade markup on socially significant food products and targeted support for the SUSN.
As noted by the head of the department, Arman Shakkaliev, a price analysis module for the SZPT is being implemented in parallel, enabling effective management decisions.
As part of the pilot program, TSA recipients are provided with food vouchers. These allow them to purchase food at the purchase price, without a markup.
"The pilot project is planned for the cities of Akkol, Kokshetau, and Pavlodar. Approximately 5,000 TSA recipients are participating in the pilot project. The project was supported by members of Parliament during regional visits and successfully passed the public discussion stage," the minister said at a government meeting.
Earlier, it was announced that a project had been launched in the city of Akkol in the Akmola region.
The pilot project implementation period is 3 months, from June 26, 2025 to September 26, 2025.
